In this happy occassion of birth date of Imam Ali (as) the First Khalifah (successor) of Islam after the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saww), let us share some of his wise sayings.

When few blessings comes your way , do not drive them away through thanklessness.

How wonderful is a man that speaks with fat, talks with a piece of flesh, hears with a bone and breathes through a hole.
- O' son of Adam when you see that Allah is bestowing His favours on you while you are disobeying Him, you should fear Him.
- Keep walking in your sickness till you can.
- Woman is like a scorpion whose grip is sweet.
- Whoever gives up saying "I do not know" meets destruction.
- What a difference there is between two kinds of actions- an act whose pleasure passes away but it (ill) consequence remains and the act whose hardship passes away but its reward stays.
- Knowledge is inheritence of Prophets while wealth is inheritence of Firauns (Pharohs).
- Wealth requires to be protected, while knowledge protects its owner.
- Refraining from sin is easier than Repentance.
- Do not obey him who disobeys the Creator.
- The tool of leadership is forbearance.
- There is no good in keeping silent in wisdom, just as there is no good in proposing ignorance.
